Job description

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

Summary There’s nothing more fulfilling than working with likeminded people who truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!
We are dedicated to providing world-class, evidence-based pediatric medicine and an exceptional patient experience in urgent care.

PM Pediatric Care is the largest pediatric urgent care network in the country. Founded and led by pediatric emergency physicians, our mission is to offer a top-quality, convenient, and accessible alternative to emergency departments for children and young adults. We are academically driven, with over 50 practice guidelines, CME-accredited lectures and workshops, a national annual conference, and extensive data for research and clinical analytics. We support our staff with comprehensive, individualized learning programs, including procedural training, radiology interpretation, and evidence-based approaches to illness and injury. Our setup mimics an emergency department within a private practice setting, featuring on-site x-ray and lab services, supportive staff, specialty consultations when necessary, and a high-acuity, diverse case mix. We maintain strong relationships with local communities and enjoy an outstanding reputation among patients and primary care providers. Our work schedule is flexible, with no overnights, and roles available for 12-36 hours per week, accommodating both part-time and full-time positions.
Description

We are hiring Advanced Practice Providers with pediatric experience to join our team. Under the guidance of the Regional Medical Officer, APPs evaluate and provide evidence-based treatment to pediatric patients in urgent care settings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat acute injuries and illnesses for both in-person and telemedicine patients, including management of febrile infants/children, infections, abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma.
  • Perform procedural care such as abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair with sutures, staples, or dermal adhesives.
  • Take radiographs and provide preliminary x-ray interpretations; official radiology over-reads are available in applicable states, with training provided.
  • Oversee patient flow and daily operations in both in-person and telemedicine settings, including supervision of other providers, staff, and trainees.
  • Maintain operational standards by following policies and reporting needed changes to management.
  • Collaborate with onsite and telemedicine teams to ensure completion of daily tasks, including reviewing lab and radiology results, patient follow-up, and responding to patient inquiries promptly.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and compliant work environment by adhering to safety procedures, quality standards, and legal regulations.
  • Protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Enhance knowledge and skills through internal training, continuing education, and professional development activities.
  • Assist with patient complaints and participate in service recovery efforts as needed.
  • Focus on improving efficiency, antibiotic stewardship, and patient experience metrics.
Qualifications

We seek motivated, energetic individuals passionate about pediatric healthcare and aligned with our mission. Our team provides high-quality care in a warm, child-friendly environment, emphasizing excellent customer service and treating patients like family.

  • Critical thinking, multitasking, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Proficiency with computers and EMR systems (experience with eCW preferred).
  • Pediatric experience is required; experience in Pediatric ER, Hospitalist, or Urgent Care is preferred.
  • Active ANCC Board Certification or NCCPA Certification is required.
  • Active RN (if applicable) and NP/PA licenses for each state where treatment is provided.
  • Master of Science in Nursing, Doctoral degree in Nursing, or Master of Physician Assistant Studies required.
  • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills are necessary.

If you enjoy growth opportunities and working with enthusiastic, high-achieving colleagues, you'll find a rewarding career here!
