Job summary

PM Pediatric Care is actively expanding and looking for pediatricians to join our vibrant team, which includes over 70 PEM providers. Under the guidance of the Regional Medical Officer, physicians are responsible for evaluating and providing evidence-based treatment to pediatric and young adult urgent care patients in both in-person and telemedicine settings.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience is required; Pediatric ER, General Pediatrics, or Urgent Care Experience preferred.
• Active ANCC Board Certification or NCCPA Certification is required.
• Active RN (if applicable) and NP/PA state license for each state where treating patients.
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Master of Physician Assistant Studies required.
• Minimum 2 years of independent pediatric clinical experience as an APP or at least 1 year in urgent care or emergency medicine.
• Ability to think critically, multitask, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent computer skills and EMR experience is preferred (eCW).
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and nonverbally.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat acute injury and illness for both in-person and telemedicine patients.
• Perform procedural care including abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair.
• Take radiographs and provide preliminary interpretation with radiology over-reads where applicable.
• Oversee in-person and telemedicine patient flow and daily functions of the office.
• Maintain operations by following policies and reporting changes to management.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Update knowledge and skills through internal training and continuing education.
• Assist clinical team and patients with complaints and participate in service recovery.
• Focus on efficiency metrics to improve urgent care flow and patient experience.
