Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant.
• Knowledge of EKG placement and processing in children.
• Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Strong communications and organizational skills.
• Prior pediatric experience preferred.
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to learn medical software.
• Experience with medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (e.g., throat/urine cultures, venipuncture).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in quality control testing in the lab.
• Support patient care within the scope of practice.
• Keep exam rooms and front reception stocked with supplies.
• Maintain waiting room cleanliness and order.
• Practice standard safety practices and precautions.
• Assist patients in distress by notifying medical team.
• Follow policies and report changes to management.
• Protect patient confidentiality of care information.
• Take ownership to improve service and add value.
• Assist patients with complaints and participate in service recovery.
