Job summary

The Medical Assistant at PM Pediatrics is responsible for clinical and administrative support within a pediatric urgent care setting, following physician supervision and the practice's policies. You will greet patients, obtain histories, take vitals, prepare for X-rays, and assist with patient care and front desk tasks.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and prior Medical Assistant experience, with strong communication, organization, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EKG placement in children is a plus.
• Ability to obtain lab tests and venipuncture as needed.
• Professional and friendly demeanor with strong communication.
• Comfortable with computers and medical software.
• Prior pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers and patients.
• Greet and register patients upon arrival.
• Record medical history, vitals, and intake information.
• Prepare patients for X-rays and assist with labs.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and waiting areas.
• Assist with emergencies and coordinate patient care.
• Ensure confidentiality and follow policies.
