Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience or education preferred.
• Knowledge of pediatric care and EKG placement in children is a plus.
• Ability to obtain laboratory tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Professional and friendly demeanor; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform routine labs (throat and urine cultures; venipuncture experience preferred).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds; assist in lab QA testing.
• Be part of the patient care team and assist within scope of practice.
• Maintain exam rooms and front desk stocked and clean.
• Respond to emergencies and notify medical team as needed.
• Follow policies and protect patient confidentiality.
