Job summary

PM Pediatrics is seeking a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support pediatric urgent care teams. The role includes clinical and administrative duties, obtaining histories and vitals, performing procedures, and maintaining safety and documentation under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate has pediatric experience, an active nursing license, BLS, and familiarity with HIPAA and lab quality control. This full-time position emphasizes teamwork and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience required; Pediatric ER, Pediatric hospital unit, or Pediatrics Urgent Care Experience preferred.
• Active state nursing license or active compact state licensure from the state you reside.
• Prior experience and competency with nursing procedures (IV placement, urinary straight catheterization, medication administration).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, intake, and prioritize patient care.
• Perform procedures (venipuncture, IV insertion, urinary straight catheterization), administer medications (oral, rectal, IM, IV), and assist with total patient care under physician supervision.
• Remain knowledgeable in pediatric pharmacology.
• Be an integral part of the patient care team and assist with patient care within scope of practice.
• Perform monthly quality control checks in the office.
• Assist in performing quality control testing in the lab.
• Assist physician with patient care during x-ray process.
• Maintain exam rooms stocked with supplies; sterilization tools maintained.
