Job summary

PM Pediatric Care, the leading pediatric urgent care network, is hiring Advanced Practice Providers to evaluate and treat pediatric patients in urgent care settings, with both in-person and telemedicine options. APPs work under the Regional Medical Officer guiding evidence-based care and operate in a setting with on-site x-ray and labs, ensuring efficient patient flow and strict HIPAA compliance.

Ideal candidates have pediatric ER/urgent care experience, an MSN/DNP/MPAS, and ANCC/NCCPA

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience required; Pediatric ER, General Pediatrics, or Urgent Care experience preferred.
• Active ANCC Board Certification or NCCPA Certification.
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Master of Physician Assistant Studies required.
• Minimum 2 years of independent pediatric clinical experience as an APP (outside of rotations) or at least 1 year in urgent care or emergency medicine.
• Excellent computer skills and experience with EMR (eCW experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment and treatment of acute injuries and illnesses for both in-person and telemedicine patients.
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair.
• Obtain and provide preliminary interpretation of radiographs with radiologist over-reads where applicable.
• Oversee daily operations and patient flow for both in-person and telemedicine visits, with oversight of other providers, staff, and trainees.
• Ensure efficient operations by adhering to policies and procedures and reporting changes to management.
• Collaborate with on-site and telemedicine teams to complete daily tasks such as lab and radiology review and patient follow-up.
• Promote a safe, confidential work environment and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain knowledge through internal training and professional development programs.
• Contribute to service recovery by addressing patient and staff concerns.
• Focus on improving in-person and telemedicine urgent care flow and antibiotic stewardship.
