Job summary

PM Pediatric Care is actively expanding and looking for pediatricians to join our vibrant team of PEM providers. Under the guidance of the Regional Medical Officer, physicians evaluate and provide evidence-based treatment to pediatric and young adult urgent-care patients in both in-person and telemedicine settings.

We offer an on-site x-ray and laboratory services, supportive staff, and specialty consultations.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatrics.
• Urgent care or ED experience preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and EMR experience (eCW preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat acute pediatric illnesses in person and via telemedicine.
• Perform procedural care such as abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair.
• Take radiographs and provide preliminary interpretations with over-reads when applicable.
• Oversee patient flow and supervise staff and trainees on shift.
• Maintain operations by following policies and reporting changes.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in patient care and data handling.
• Engage in daily tasks, lab and radiology review, and patient follow-up.
• Pursue continuing education and participate in professional organizations.

PM Pediatric Care is actively expanding and looking for pediatricians to join our vibrant team of over 70 PEM providers. Under the guidance of the Regional Medical Officer, physicians evaluate and provide evidence‑based treatment to pediatric and young adult urgent‑care patients in both in‑person and telemedicine settings.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess and treat acute injury and illness for both in‑person and telemedicine patients, including febrile infants/children, ear/nose/throat infections, pediatric abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma.
• Perform procedural care such as abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair with sutures, staples, and dermal adhesive.
• Take radiographs and provide preliminary interpretation of x‑rays with official radiology over‑reads (only in applicable states). All necessary training will be provided.
• Oversee in‑person and telemedicine patient flow and daily functions of the office along with oversight of other providers, staff, and trainees on shift.
• Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; report needed changes to the management team.
• Work with onsite and telemedicine teams to assure completion of daily tasks, including lab and radiology result review, patient follow‑up, and timely responses to patient calls and questions.
• Maintain a safe, secure, equitable, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety procedures, quality standards, and complying with legal regulations.
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidential in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Update knowledge and skills through internal training programs, continuing education opportunities, professional publications, and participation in professional organizations.
• Assist the clinical team and patients with complaints and take an active role in service recovery when needed.
• Focus on efficiency metrics to improve in‑person and telemedicine urgent‑care flow, antibiotic stewardship, and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to critically think, multitask, and work as part of a team.
• Excellent computer skills and experience with EMR (eCW experience preferred).
• BC/BE in Pediatrics.
• Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience.
• Motivated, energetic, and passionate about pediatric healthcare and the mission of PM Pediatric Care.

Compensation

$110,000 – $180,000. The salary/rate range listed here is provided for local regulatory compliance and represents a potential base salary for this role. Actual salaries may vary based on experience and location.
