Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Imaging Technologist to join the Ultrasound department at the Burnet Campus. This role features a rotating shift, 20 hours per week, and a 0.5 FTE with regular patient care duties for infants, children, and adolescents.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, performing procedures per protocol, and contributing to process improvements while coordinating with Radiology and related departments.

Qualifications

• Ultrasound program accreditation or equivalent.
• ARDMS/ARRT(S) registration or eligibility.
• Registration within 6 months of hire is expected.
• Pediatric sonography certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Resource by sharing knowledge and mentoring team members.
• Patient Care: prepare patients and families for procedures and examinations following protocol.
• Process Improvement: identify and lead process/quality improvement activities and measure results.
• Communication: courteously inform patients, families and staff and respond to requests.
• Customer Service: advocate for patients and families and provide education as needed.

Education

Ultrasound Accredited Program or equivalent

Registered ARDMS or ARRT(S) or eligible

Registered ARDMS or ARRT(S) within 6 months of hire

ARDMS Pediatric Sonography Certification (preferred)
