Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital in Gilbert, AZ seeks an Ultrasound supervisor to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and oversee daily technical operations including budget, QC, inventory, and regulatory standards.

The role requires RDMS, BLS, and supervisory experience, with pediatric imaging experience preferred. This position participates in department quality initiatives and represents Radiology professionally to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACR-accredited Ultrasound program.
• Five years' recent ultrasound experience including radiation safety.
• Two years supervisory experience.
• One year pediatric imaging experience.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current RDMS registration in Abdominal, Vascular or Neuro.
• Tier I: Registration in one of the three above; Tier II: Registration in two; Tier III: Registration in three.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of Diagnostic Ultrasound procedures as requested by physicians and providers.
• Determines proper techniques to ensure optimal results in accordance with standards.
• Oversees staff schedules and work activities; provides guidance and development for staff.
• Manages equipment and coordinates service on equipment as needed.
• Participates in hospital and department quality initiatives to improve operations.
• Represents Radiology professionally with patients and staff.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.

Skills

Five years ultrasound experience

Education
