Qualifications

Graduate of approved nursing school.
Current Massachusetts nursing license.
BCLS and CPR certification.
Knowledge of ambulatory care nursing for adult and/or pediatric illnesses.
Knowledge of EMR, scheduling and word processing software.

Responsibilities

Works full time, on site, to support the clinical operations of AMA-PC.
Triages patients over the telephone, assesses concerns and coordinates timely visits.
Teaches patients and families about diagnosis, treatment and diet.
Provides emotional support and coordinates patient needs with other departments.
Completes paperwork and documents care in EMR.
Refills prescriptions adhering to safety and medical knowledge.
Assists staff and stays current with procedures, policies and protocols.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Acts as preceptor for new staff and students.
Weekend rotation is required.
