Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Trauma Program Manager to lead and develop the trauma program within the Department of Pediatric Surgery. You will align operations with state accreditation standards, manage performance-improvement activities, and coordinate trauma education and outreach.

The role requires RN licensure in Pennsylvania, a BSN, and advanced trauma certifications; Masters preferred for leadership focus.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure required.
• BLS within 1 month; PALS within 6 months; ACLS within 1 year.
• ATCN within 1 year; TOPIC within 1 year; TCRN within 3 years.
• Minimum 5 years RN experience in trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of the trauma program per Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation Standards.
• Oversee trauma performance improvement program, trauma registry, and injury prevention initiatives.
• Coordinate community/EMS outreach and internal/external trauma education.
• Act as liaison with external entities and local/state/national trauma organizations.
• Collaborate with Trauma Program Medical Director and department leadership to ensure excellence in care.
