Job summary

Advanced Pediatrics in Vienna, VA is seeking a Pediatric Telephone Triage Nurse (RN/LPN) for a full-time, on-site role in the Triage department.

The ideal candidate will have an active RN or LPN license in Virginia (or a valid compact-state license), at least 2 years of pediatric clinical experience, and current BLS/CPR certification. You will perform structured telephone triage, educate families, and coordinate care while avoiding bedside hospital nursing pressures.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN or LPN licensure (or compact-state license) required.
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric clinical experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience with EHR systems and triage software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clinical triage & patient assessment for pediatric patients.
• Use evidence-based pediatric triage algorithms to evaluate severity.
• Direct families to emergency services when needed.
• Provide home-management guidance and education to parents.
• Coordinate appointments, prescriptions, labs, and referrals as appropriate.
• Document all communications in the EHR system.
