Job summary

Ascension Health's Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a dedicated pediatric surgical care team. This employed role offers inpatient and outpatient practice within a nonprofit health system, with a Full-Time rotating schedule.

You will collaborate with surgeons and the Surgery/Trauma APP team to diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, while educating families and ensuring continuity of high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Texas Nurse Practitioner license required.
• Texas RN license required.
• BLS Provider required (AHA/ARC accepted).
• DEA registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pediatric surgical care by collaborating with surgeons and the Surgery/Trauma APP team to diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Document clinical assessments and treatments to ensure high-quality, seamless continuity of care; educate families and hospital providers on prevention and post-discharge plans.
