Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the inpatient team. The APP will provide overnight coverage for the pediatric general surgery and trauma services and will coordinate with pediatric surgery fellows, residents, and Nursing staff to ensure quality patient care.

Ideal candidates are acute care trained with a pediatric emphasis and have prior inpatient pediatric experience.

Qualifications

• Acute care trained provider with pediatrics emphasis.
• Experience with inpatient pediatric population required.
• PNP-AC or PA-C certification required.
• Ability to work overnight coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight coverage for pediatric general surgery and trauma teams.
• Enter orders and coordinate with nursing and families.
• Write notes and facilitate discharges.
• Attend traumas and admit suspected non-accidental trauma.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and other care teams.
• Provide education to patient/family and staff.
