Job summary

Phoenix Children’s, in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Pediatric Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support inpatient pre- and post-op care for pediatric patients. Overnight coverage will be required, with collaboration with pediatric surgery fellows and residents on rotation.

The ideal candidate is acutely skilled in inpatient pediatric care, detail oriented, and capable of writing orders, discharging patients, and assisting with consults and admissions.

Qualifications

• Must hold PNP-AC or PA-C credential.
• Experience in inpatient pediatric care required.
• Detail oriented with strong communication.
• Ability to work overnight coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pre/post op care for pediatric surgery patients.
• Enter orders and manage plans with the care team.
• Assist with discharges and consults.
• Attend trauma cases and manage admissions.
• Serve as educational resource and mentor to staff.
