Phoenix Children’s is seeking a Pediatric Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to support inpatient pediatric surgery patients alongside fellows and residents. The APP will follow through on daily plans, enter orders, answer nursing and family questions, and assist with discharges and consults.

Ideal candidates have acute care pediatric experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication. The role collaborates with attending physicians and may work in inpatient and/or outpatient

Competenze

Acute care trained provider with emphasis on pediatrics.
Prior inpatient pediatric experience required.
Detail oriented, flexible and able to communicate clearly.

Mansioni

Conducts comprehensive health history, physical assessments and plans for infants, children and young adults with acute and chronic conditions.
Orders and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions and manages plans of care.
Forms a family centered plan of care and documents daily; coordinates with team.
Collects data and analyzes when necessary.
Performs advanced procedures as credentialing requires.
Utilizes evidence-based practice and adapts plans to family needs.
Serves as an educational resource to patients, families, nursing staff and team.
Participates in professional development and mentors learners.
Advocates for patient safety and promotes practice improvements.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties.
