Job summary

Children's Minnesota is offering a 10-week Student Nurse Intern (SNI) program for nursing students enrolled in an approved program. Interns work alongside a registered nurse, gaining hands-on experience in pediatric care across multiple units.

Positions are full-time (0.75–0.9 FTE) on Day, Evening or Night shifts with a flat hourly rate of $22.79. Applicants must be enrolled in a nursing program and plan to graduate between August 2027 and May 2028.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in professional communication and clinical reasoning.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skills.
• Reading, writing, and speaking English clearly in a healthcare environment.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and charting.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside a registered nurse in a clinical setting to support patient care.
• Provide patient-centered care under supervision and guidance of RN.
• Rotate through NICU, Critical Care, Acute Med/Surg, Peri-Operative, Inpatient Mental Health, and Ambulatory Hem/Onc.
• Shifts may be Day, Evening, or Night and can include weekends/holidays.
