Job summary

Miriam Skydell and Associates, LLC is a pediatric therapy agency in New Jersey seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct speech services at a private school in Bloomfield. The position offers flexible scheduling and hourly pay under a 1099 contract for the 2026-2027 year.

Caseload includes approximately 12 students aged 5–18 with articulation, expressive/receptive language, and fluency disorders.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in NJ.
• Experience with school-based services is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students.
• Conduct speech evaluations and write recommendations as needed.
• Prepare IEP goals and progress reports four times per year.
• Maintain weekly speech logs and communicate with case managers.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student needs.

Miriam Skydell and Associates, LLC is a pediatric therapy agency that provides contracted Occupational therapists, Speech therapists and Physical therapists to various schools in New Jersey. Miriam Skydell has been contracting therapist to schools for over 25 years. Miriam Skydell and Associates, LLC is a small personalized agency which values our therapists time. All our contracts are by the hour regardless of student presence, all positions are paid hourly as 1099.

We have an ST position available at a private school in Bloomfield, NJ.

• Duration: Starting September 21st 2026 through June 27, 2027
• Days and Hours: Flexible — the SLP can determine her own schedule and number of days. The school day is 8:39 AM–2:40 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Caseload & Population: Approximately 12 students. The caseload may change during the school year and includes students with articulation, expressive and receptive language, and fluency disorders. Currently, 10 students receive individual 40-minute speech sessions twice a week, and 2 students receive individual 40-minute sessions once a week.
• Ages: 5–18 years
• Grades: Kindergarten through 12th grade
• Responsibilities: Direct speech services, speech evaluations and recommendations as needed, IEP reports with goals and objectives, progress reports four times per year, weekly speech logs, and communication with case managers/counselors regarding behavioral or other student needs
• Rate: $85.00 per hour
