Job summary

Pediatric Health Choice is seeking a Contract Speech Therapist to provide pediatric speech-language services in our PPEC setting in Sarasota, FL. You will assess, plan, and deliver individualized therapy, collaborating with nurses and other therapists to support each child's communication, feeding, and swallowing goals.

This flexible contract role offers daytime hours Mon-Fri with a W-9 contractor arrangement and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as an SLP.
• Prefer 1 year of pediatric/PPEC or medically fragile experience.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Current CPR certification and ability to pass Level II background screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language evaluations for pediatric patients with complex medical and developmental needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve speech, language, feeding, and swallowing abilities.
• Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate therapy sessions tailored to each child’s goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with PPEC and state regulations.
• Educate and coach families on therapeutic strategies, home practice activities, and communication support techniques.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during care planning and progress reviews.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, clinical standards, and ethical practices.
