Job summary

Pediatric Health Choice in Leesburg, FL is seeking a Contract Speech Therapist to join our interdisciplinary care team. You will assess and deliver pediatric speech-language therapy services, collaborating with nurses, therapists, case managers, and families to support communication, feeding, and swallowing skills.

The role offers flexible scheduling as a W-9 contractor with daytime hours Mon–Fri, and a supportive, family-centered care environment dedicated to developing each child’s abilities.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as an SLP.
• Prefer 1 year of pediatric experience (PPEC, EI, or medically fragile population).
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Current CPR certification and ability to pass a Level II background screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language evaluations for pediatric patients with complex medical needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve speech, language, feeding, and swallowing abilities.
• Provide engaging therapy sessions tailored to each child’s goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with PPEC and state regulations.
• Educate and coach families on therapeutic strategies, home practice activities, and communication support techniques.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during care planning and progress reviews.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, clinical standards, and ethical practices.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Daytime Hours Only

Position Overview

As a Contract Speech Therapist at Pediatric Health Choice, you will work directly with children to assess, plan, and deliver individualized speech-language therapy services that foster communication, feeding, and swallowing skills. You’ll collaborate with nurses, physical and occupational therapists, case managers, and families to promote each child’s overall development and quality of life.
