Job summary

Pediatric Health Choice in Leesburg, FL, is seeking a Contract Speech Therapist to join an interdisciplinary care team. You will assess, plan, and deliver speech-language therapy to medically fragile children, collaborating with nurses, therapists, and families to promote communication, feeding, and overall development.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Prefer 1 year of pediatric experience (PPEC, early intervention, or medically fragile population).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• CPR certification and ability to pass a Level II background screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language evaluations for pediatric patients with complex medical needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve speech, language, feeding, and swallowing abilities.
• Provide developmentally appropriate therapy sessions tailored to each child’s goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with PPEC and state regulations.
• Educate and coach families on strategies, home practice, and communication support techniques.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during care planning and progress reviews.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, clinical standards, and ethical practices.
