Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Speech-Language Therapist.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience specializing in pediatric speech-language therapy.
• Experience with diagnostic assessments and treatment planning for pediatric communication disorders.
• Knowledge of varied therapeutic approaches for children.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for children of all ages.
• Diagnose and assess articulation, language delays, fluency, and pragmatics.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Educate and train parents and educators on strategies to support development.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes.
