Job summary

Encompass is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the Child Development Center in Snoqualmie, WA. This full-time, day-shift role collaborates with a supervising SLP to deliver play-based therapies, document progress, and support families.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to help children ages 3–11 reach communication goals through engaging activities and family involvement.

Qualifications

  • Washington State SLPA license required or equivalent licensure.
  • Pass state and federal background checks required.
  • Pediatric experience preferred in early intervention or school settings.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with supervising Speech-Language Pathologist to implement engaging treatment plans.
  • Support articulation, language, fluency, and social communication goals through play-based activities.
  • Document sessions and track progress to adapt strategies as children grow.
  • Collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary team and assist with group sessions.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Partnering with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to bring engaging treatment plans to life
  • Supporting kids with articulation, language, fluency and social communication goals through play-based activities
  • Helping families understand and support their child’s communication journey
  • Documenting sessions, tracking progress and adapting strategies as kids grow
  • Collaborating daily with your awesome multidisciplinary team
  • Assisting with group therapy sessions, social groups and classroom carryover
  • Engaging in floor time, sensory play, movement and LOTS of expressive fun!
QualificationsWho We’re Looking For
Required:
  • Washington State SLPA license
  • Team-player mindset (we’re all in this together!)
  • Able to pass state + federal background checks
Extra Awesome If You:
  • Have pediatric experience (especially in early intervention or school-age)
  • Are bilingual (English/Spanish = big plus!)
  • Love turning goals into games, crafts, and stories
What It Takes Physically

This is an active, hands-on role. Be ready to sit on the floor, crawl, squat, lift up to 50 lbs and fully participate in a child’s world of movement, play, and imagination.
