General Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluation, creation, and implementation of therapy plans, accurate and reliable data collection, consultation, and training with family and staff. SLPs will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and maintain therapy plans that address all speech, language, and/or feeding needs of clients. Oversight for speech and language direct services will be provided by the Manager - Speech and Occupational Therapy.

The SLP operates in a professional and clinical environment and will be responsible for collecting data on target behaviors during sessions. They must define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions, read, analyze, and respond to inquiries or complaints from clients, and effectively present information to top management is essential.

The physical demands include sitting, using hands for manipulation, talking, hearing, reaching, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/moving weights up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

This is a full-time position, with possible part-time hours based on client needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a therapy caseload with approximately 45 sessions per week, unless directed otherwise.
  • Conduct 30-minute therapy sessions focused on speech, language, feeding, AAC, and social skills.
  • Complete documentation including pre-authorizations, evaluations, reports, and SOAP notes, using available electronic templates.
  • Provide individual therapy and collaborate with other professionals and families for comprehensive care.
  • Maintain current licensure and adhere to ASHA ethical standards.
  • Represent the organization professionally at seminars and events.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, including travel as needed.
  • Uphold company policies, procedures, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Certifications Required

  • State licensure (permanent or temporary for Clinical Fellowship Year, as applicable)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (if not in Clinical Fellowship Year)
