Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)/Clinical Fellow (CF)

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluation, creation, and implementation of therapy plans, accurate and reliable data collection, consultation, and training with family and staff. SLPs will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and maintain therapy plans addressing speech, language, and feeding needs of clients. Oversight for direct services will be provided by the Manager - Speech and Occupational Therapy.

The SLP operates in a clinical environment and will collect data on target behaviors during sessions. Responsibilities include problem definition, data collection, analysis, and responding to inquiries from clients, with effective communication to top management.

The physical demands include sitting, using hands, talking, hearing, reaching, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/moving weights up to 50 pounds, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

This is a full-time position, with possible part-time hours based on client needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain therapy plans with a 45-session weekly caseload unless directed otherwise.
  • Conduct 30-minute therapy sessions focusing on speech, language, feeding, AAC, and social skills.
  • Complete documentation such as pre-authorizations, evaluations, reports, and SOAP notes using electronic systems.
  • Provide individual therapy and collaborate with other professionals and families for comprehensive care.
  • Maintain current certifications and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Represent BY YOUR SIDE professionally at seminars and in the community.
  • Participate in training, travel to other centers, and uphold company policies and HIPAA compliance.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Certifications Required

  • State licensure (permanent or temporary as applicable).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, unless in Clinical Fellowship Year.

  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, sensory and behavioral strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
