Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join their team in Alexandria, Louisiana. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for a diverse patient population. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Physical Therapy and provide services across various ages, from pediatric to geriatric.

The position requires effective communication skills, a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, and relevant certifications. Full-time work is expected from 7AM to 5PM, and the candidate should demonstrate teamwork and commitment to the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• English required, bilingual preferred.
• Certifications in Vital Stim, FEES, Metronome, Big and Loud are preferred.
• Current Louisiana SLP License is mandatory.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Certification from ASHA after clinical fellowship year.

Responsibilities

• Gather data and discuss with physician as necessary.
• Independently assess patient types assigned.
• Recognize additional needs during evaluation.
• Formulate relevant, measurable goals.
• Reassess patient progress regularly.
• Identify appropriate equipment and referrals.
