Job summary

CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital seeks a Speech Pathologist to assess, plan, and deliver therapy to pediatric through geriatric patients. You will document care, perform swallowing assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, current Louisiana SLP license, and CFY/ASHA credentials. Per diem/PRN shifts offered, with emphasis on patient-centered, culturally aware care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• English required; bilingual preferred.
• Current Louisiana SLP License.
• Current BLS certification.
• ASHA certification after completing CFY required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psycho-social, spiritual, and cultural factors.
• Plan, implement and document Speech Pathology care per policy.
• Perform swallowing assessments and manage dysphagia protocols.
• Document evaluations within 72 hours and discharge summaries within 5 days.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team and supervise rehab technicians.
