Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist in Atlanta, GA. This role requires a master's degree in Communication Disorders and provides quality care to patients from newborn to 20 years. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing care plans, and ensuring effective communication with families and interdisciplinary teams. Qualifications

  • No minimum experience required.
  • Experience in pediatrics or related experience in Speech‑Language Pathology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates patients, meeting established standards.
  • Develops appropriate plan of care and implements effective treatment interventions.
  • Completes documentation, meeting departmental standards.
  • Includes family/caregiver in patient care and provides effective education.
  • Provides clinical oversight to assigned aides and students.
  • Demonstrates competencies incorporating age-specific guidelines.
  • Participates in maintaining the work environment for accreditation readiness.
  • Travels to clinical locations to provide patient care.

Knowledge of pediatric theory and practice
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Positive interpersonal skills

Education

Master's degree in Communication Disorders/Speech‑Language Pathology

Tools

Georgia licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist
American Speech‑Language Hearing Association CCC
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
