Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide age-appropriate care for patients from newborn to 20 years within established standards. The role integrates with the rehabilitation team to support safe, high-quality pediatric communication therapy.

The position requires 5 years pediatrics, Georgia licensure, CCC certification, and BLS. You will supervise aides, participate in program development, and travel to clinical locations to serve patient

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in pediatrics or related Speech-Language Pathology.
• Meets contribution requirements of Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Ladder Level III.
• Georgia licensure with ASHA CCC in Speech-Language Pathology; BLS certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, meeting established standards.
• Develops appropriate plan of care and implements effective treatment interventions founded in evidence-based practice.
• Completes documentation, meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Involves the patient's caregivers in their care, offering education and documentation tailored to learning needs.
• Provides clinical oversight to SLP Aides, Rehabilitation Aides, CF/paid clinical experience, and students as assigned.
• Demonstrates competencies across age groups including Neonate to Adult.
• Travels to clinical locations to provide patient care based on census, program development, and/or contract obligations.
• Serves as a resource and mentor to other staff, providing orientation and in-services as requested.
• Assumes program development duties as assigned.
