Job summary

Moving Mountains Therapy Center in Montana seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow to join a caring, collaborative team dedicated to helping children and families overcome communication challenges. The role emphasizes family-centered care, a supportive interdisciplinary team, and community outreach.

You’ll assess and treat a range of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, develop individualized plans, and support families with at-home strategies.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Family-Centered Care: Uphold compassionate, client-centered therapy.
  • Collaborate with Families & Teams: Work with families, interdisciplinary team, and community partners.
  • Assess & Treat Communication Challenges: Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, or swallowing disorders and create personalized plans.
  • Provide ongoing support & education: Teach families strategies and create home programs to support progress.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans per payer guidelines and Montana regulations.
  • Contribute to the Team: Participate in meetings and share knowledge to improve care.
  • Engage with the Community: Advocate for therapy services in schools, daycares, and community sites.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide Family-Centered Care: Uphold our mission of delivering compassionate, client-centered therapy.
  • Collaborate with Families & Teams: Work closely with families, interdisciplinary team members, and community partners to create the best plan of care for each child.
  • Assess & Treat Communication Challenges: Evaluate patients to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, or swallowing disorders. Develop and implement effective, personalized treatment plans.
  • Ongoing Support & Education: Empower families by teaching them techniques and strategies to improve communication, and create home programs to support progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in line with payer guidelines and Montana’s speech therapy regulations.
  • Contribute to the Team: Participate in team meetings, collaborate on goals for patients, and share knowledge with teammates to enhance the quality of care provided.
  • Community Engagement: Help advocate for therapy services in local schools, daycares, and other community sites to raise awareness and expand access to services.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or an equivalent program.
  • Ability to obtain an SLP license in Montana (Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply!).
  • Enjoyment of working with diverse populations, especially children, and family-centered care.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred or to be completed within 90 days of hire).
  • A current driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle for travel to clients' homes and community locations.
