Job summary

Moving Mountains Therapy Center in Missoula, MT is seeking a full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary pediatric clinic. You will provide play-based, family-centered therapy to children from birth through adolescence, deliver services in clinics, schools, daycares, and homes, and work with a supportive team of PTs, SLPs, and mental health professionals.

Qualifications

• Current Montana Occupational Therapy License (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire).
• Experience working with children, especially in play-based therapy, is preferred—but new graduates welcome.
• Commitment to collaboration and a desire to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Reliability and a positive attitude toward work and community involvement.
• Driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle for travel to various client locations.

Responsibilities

• Family-Centered Care: Uphold our mission to provide therapy that empowers families and supports the child’s development in all areas of life.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with our team of Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Mental Health providers to provide comprehensive care to children and families.
• Assess and Treat: Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address motor skills, sensory processing, daily living skills, and other developmental needs.
• Community-Based Therapy: Deliver therapy services in a variety of settings, including homes, daycares, schools, and other community environments.
• Ongoing Support and Education: Educate families on effective strategies and techniques for supporting their child’s development, and create home programs that reinforce therapy goals.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain timely, accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in line with payer guidelines and state regulations.
• Advocate for Clients: Participate in projects and initiatives that support community education and advocacy for children’s therapy services.

This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art pediatric clinic, where we treat children of all ages (from birth through adolescence). While we specialize in pediatric care, there may also be opportunities to work with older adolescents and adults.
