Job summary

Nicklaushealth in Miami seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide clinical and professional services within the department, evaluating and reevaluating plans of care and implementing evidence-based treatments.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Florida license or provisional licensure required
  • AHA BLS required
  • Background check (Level II) and Good Moral Character affidavit within required timelines

Responsibilities

  • Participates in interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary meetings related to patient care.
  • Maintains and documents productivity standards set by leaders.
  • Records daily patient documentation, statistics, and charges accurately and timely.
  • Ensures documentation reflects evidence-based practices.
  • Improves access to care for patients.
  • Conducts evaluations based on patient concerns, age, diagnosis, and prognosis, and provides recommendations.
  • Maintains communication with patient and caregivers regarding progress and home programs.
  • Develops a care plan outlining deficits, activity restrictions, and measurable goals.
  • Provides treatments based on findings.
  • Prepares patients/families for discharge when benefits are reached.
  • Follows TRAAC and prepares discharge documentation.
  • Provides proof of in-service BCE and peer review.
  • Maintains CEUs for licensure and excellence.
