Job summary

Vista Hill Foundation in San Diego operates the Stein Education Center, serving developmentally disabled students aged 5–22. The Speech Language Pathologist works under supervision to evaluate, plan and deliver speech services and contribute to I.E.P. team goals.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, California licensure and CCC-SLP, with 1+ year of relevant experience preferred. Full-time, Mon–Fri, with $43/hour starting pay and comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• California state license from SLPA Board is required.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA is required.
• Previous clinical experience with developmentally disabled population preferred.
• Ability to pass drug, TB tests and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates students to determine suitability for speech services as requested by supervisor.
• Consults with teachers, other services, families and parents as needed.
• Participates as a member of the I.E.P. team.
• Attends BIP review meetings.
• Provides speech services per I.E.P. and ensures programs are implemented during sessions.
• Develops and maintains visual supports and AAC for students.
