Job summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides pediatric speech-language pathology services for neonates through young adults at Phoenix Children’s Gilbert location. You will evaluate, plan, and treat disorders across speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, feeding and swallowing, using family-centered care.

Responsibilities include building treatment plans with measurable goals, collaborating with physicians and families, and ensuring timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university is required.
• Pediatric experience is preferred.
• ASHA certification or CFY in progress is preferred.
• AZ Department of Health Services license required prior to start date.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider required prior to start date.
• ASHA pediatric and/or specialty certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats pediatric patients with speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, feeding and swallowing.
• Develops age-appropriate, functional treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Maintains accurate documentation in compliance with department, regulatory and state/federal guidelines.
• Supervises rehab technicians and students, providing feedback on performance.
