Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluations and developmentally appropriate treatment for patients with hearing loss or communication disorders across diverse settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and school-based services.

The role includes collaboration with medical teams, families, and educators, plus involvement in training, mentorship, and clinical research activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• State license eligibility is required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is required.
• ASHA fellowship (CFY) completion required.
• On-call coverage including evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations of auditory, communication, developmental, and/or academic skills for infants, children, or adults with hearing loss or related disorders.
• Deliver direct and consultative habilitative and rehabilitative services across multiple clinical settings (acute care, ICU, craniofacial unit, psychiatric unit, preschool, home, outpatient).
• Collaborate with medical, dietary, clinical, educational staff and families to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Assist in recruitment, design, or implementation of clinical research projects and maintain patient records.
• Develop and implement training materials for families and professionals.
• Mentor graduate students and clinical fellows in assessment and intervention for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by monitoring clinical records.
