Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to work with infants and toddlers in home and community settings across Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Westchester County.

A licensed NY SLP with EI experience is preferred, with mentorship and ongoing trainings available. Responsibilities include developmental assessments, IFSP-based planning, caregiver coaching, and progress reporting while maintaining HIPAA-compliant

Qualifications

• NY Speech language Pathologist license.
• Early Intervention Experience OR Equivalent Experience.
• Pediatric Experience.
• Home Based Service Delivery Experience (preferred).
• Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills.
• Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screening/assessments, provide Speech language Therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family.
• Follow IFSP and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals.
• Coach family members and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry‑over at home and community settings.
• Provide services in diverse settings such as homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings.
• Ensure progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in intervention through goal-directed coaching and team communication.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (HIPAA/state/federal regulations).
