Job summary

Therapy 2000 in Texas is seeking a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist for home-based therapy servicing children. You will evaluate and treat patients, develop family-centered home exercise programs, and collaborate with physicians to ensure care aligns with orders.

The role emphasizes feeding therapy when possible, with emphasis on coordinating care within the patient’s medical neighborhood and maintaining high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license to practice speech-language pathology.
• 3+ years as a pediatric SLP.
• Experience in home-health settings.
• Feeding therapy experience or certifications (VitalStim, SOFFI, SOS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations using standardized tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.

• Complete a minimum number of patient visits weekly and maintain chart updates.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Texas.

• Feeding preferred.
• 3+ years as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist
• Experience in a home-health setting.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Speech Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric speech language pathology.
