Job summary

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital rehabilitation center provides kid-friendly and family-centered pediatric therapy with one-on-one care from experienced therapists specializing in sensory integration, neuromotor development, feeding, apraxia, and related diagnoses across five outpatient locations in Broward & Palm Beach counties.

The Speech-Language Pathologist role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Florida licensure or eligibility, and ASHA CCC credentials.

Qualifications

• Master's in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Florida licensure or eligibility for licensure is required.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements a plan of care appropriate to issues identified and patient/family involvement.
• Supervises and mentors peers, fellows and support personnel.
• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Provides information on adaptive equipment selection and use.
• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition.
• Plans and assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
