ROLE OVERVIEW

We're looking for a dedicated Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to support children with a variety of speech, language, and feeding/swallowing challenges. You'll assess each child's communication profile, design and deliver individualized therapy, and work hand-in-hand with families so they understand their child's strengths and needs. A key part of this role is helping caregivers reinforce progress beyond the therapy room - at home, at school, and in the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform thorough evaluations of speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, and feeding/swallowing skills in pediatric clients
  • Design individualized, goal-driven treatment plans tailored to each child's developmental stage and clinical presentation
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions to a caseload of children with varied communication and feeding needs
  • Help parents and caregivers understand their child's strengths and areas for growth in clear, approachable terms
  • Work with families to reinforce skills and strategies across home, school, and community settings
  • Liaise with teachers, physicians, occupational and physical therapists, and other members of the care team
  • Keep documentation current and accurate - evaluations, SOAP notes, progress updates, and insurance paperwork
  • Monitor each child's progress against treatment goals and adjust plans as clinical needs evolve
  • Join team meetings, case reviews, and school-related meetings (e.g., IEP/IFSP) when needed
  • Coach parents and caregivers on home practice routines and tools that support carryover
  • Keep skills sharp by following current research and pursuing ongoing professional development in pediatric SLP practice
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program
  • Active Georgia SLP license (or eligibility to obtain one), plus ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • At least 2 years of hands-on clinical experience with pediatric clients across a range of speech, language, and feeding/swallowing disorders
  • Solid grounding in child development and evidence-based pediatric assessment and treatment methods
  • Strong communication skills - able to connect with kids and explain clinical concepts to parents in plain, reassuring language
  • Comfortable collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and coordinating carryover of skills across home, school, and community settings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Background supervising Clinical Fellows (CFs) or graduate student clinicians
  • Advanced training or certification such as PROMPT, feeding/swallowing certifications, or AAC
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities
  • Prior experience in a private practice or pediatric outpatient environment
TOOLS & TECHNOLOGY
  • Familiarity with EHR/practice management platforms (e.g., SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, WebPT, or similar)
  • Comfort administering standardized assessments (e.g., CELF, PLS-5, GFTA, or comparable tools)
  • Experience with teletherapy platforms for virtual sessions, where applicable
  • Working knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and apps
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace for scheduling, reporting, and documentation
