Job summary

Dayton Children's Main Campus in Dayton, OH, is seeking a Part Time Night PCA to support our Specialty Pediatrics team. You will assist the nurse with patient care activities, monitor vital signs, and help with daily living tasks while respecting developmental levels and family needs.

Cross-trained to aid both clinical and clerical tasks, you will work 24 hours per week and be expected to obtain CPR if not already current within two weeks of start.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED is required.
• PCA training or PCA experience or actively enrolled in a health care-related education program is required.
• 1-2 years STNA experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• CPR is preferred at hire, but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in completion of patient care activities, considering patient development levels.
• Measure and record vital signs, intake and output, and provide safe transport and support.
• Acknowledge confidentiality and privacy; report patient information as indicated.
• Cross-train to support clinical and clerical sides of the department.
