Job summary

PDS Health is seeking a Specialty Dental Assistant to support Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, and Pediatric dentistry across multiple offices. You will assist clinicians, maintain sterile operatory conditions, and help manage patient flow and records.

Travel between offices is required, and a valid driver's license with proof of insurance is mandatory. A high school diploma or GED is required with state-mandated training; a one-year certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with mandated state training.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Willingness to travel to multiple offices daily, sometimes several times per day.
• One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school is preferred.
• Travel may be planned or unplanned and is subject to change without notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state dental auxiliaries board table of permitted duties.
• Maintain a clean and sterile operatory and assist clinicians.
• Escort patients and coordinate with front desk and teams for smooth scheduling.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist during procedures.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral photos as directed by the clinician.
• Maintain inventory and ensure supplies for each operatory.
• Demonstrate proper infection control and equipment maintenance.
• Support patient care by presenting treatment records and consents to clinicians.
