PDS Health is seeking a Specialty Dental Assistant to support orthodontic and other specialty clinics. Responsibilities include assisting clinicians, preparing rooms, and maintaining sterile environments across multiple offices. The role requires travel between offices and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a state-approved certificate, and strong communication skills to coordinate with teams and patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with state-mandated certification/registration as required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; background/motor vehicle checks required.
• Travel between multiple offices may be necessary; reliable transportation essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist clinicians in specialty areas (Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Pediatrics).
• Escort patients, coordinate with front/back office for smooth schedules.
• Maintain clean, sterile operatory and prepare treatment rooms.
• Assist with radiographs and intra-oral photographs as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supplies for procedures.
• Record charting and clinician notes in the digital chart.
• Convey treatment records and health history to clinicians.
