Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Queens, NY is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support children birth through 21 in natural settings, including homes, clinics, and community sites.

You will implement individualized programs, collaborate with families, and document progress, while adhering to HIPAA and state/federal requirements.

Flexible scheduling with strong clinical supervision and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS certification/licensure in one of the listed areas.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
• Must be self-motivated and a team player with patience and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children birth-21 years in natural settings.
• Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the therapy plan and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information per HIPAA and state/federal regulations; submit records within timelines.
