Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support children with diverse needs. This role offers a flexible schedule and a collaborative clinical team delivering evaluations and ongoing services in homes, clinics, and community settings.

Candidates must hold NYS Special Education certifications and related licenses. You will implement tailored therapy plans, educate families, document progress, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and

Qualifications

• Must hold one of the NYS special education certifications/licenses listed.
• Passion for working with children and families.
• Self-motivated team player with patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children birth to 21 in natural settings.
• Educate families on intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.
