Job summary

The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS seeks a full-time Pediatric Sonographer to perform ultrasound diagnostic procedures, schedule patients, and maintain equipment within the Peds Cardiology Echo department.

Candidates must have BLS and one of ARDMS Sonographer certification or CCI Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, plus strong knowledge of anatomy, ultrasound physics, patient care, and communication. This is a day shift position with hourly compensation.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations using ultrasound equipment.

• Views, analyzes, and records images; communicates findings to staff.
• Maintains imaging data records, data tracking, and scheduling information.
• Maintains supplies and reports equipment issues; supports safety and infection control.
