Job summary

The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS seeks a full-time Pediatric Sonographer to perform ultrasound diagnostic procedures, schedule patients, and maintain equipment within the Peds Cardiology Echo department.

Candidates must have BLS and one of ARDMS Sonographer certification or CCI Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, plus strong knowledge of anatomy, ultrasound physics, patient care, and communication. This is a day shift position with hourly compensation.

To schedule patients, maintain equipment, report equipment failures, and perform quality assurance.## Education & Experience**Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required:**Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required post-hire within 90 days. One of the following certifications:* Sonographer (S) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers* Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).## Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
