Job summary

Dandelion Spirit Psychotherapy seeks a neurodiversity-affirming, child-led Speech-Language Pathologist to join a multidisciplinary team in Minnesota. You will identify functional communication and oral motor needs, design intervention plans honoring natural language development, and collaborate with clinicians to align goals across settings.

You will conduct evaluations, develop plans grounded in family priorities, and provide evidence-based services including gestalt language processing.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Minnesota licensure or eligibility.
  • Experience with pediatric populations ages 2–12.
  • Training or experience in gestalt language processing and natural language acquisition, or willingness to train.
  • Experience or training in oral motor assessment and treatment.
  • Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practice, including presuming competence and honoring all forms of communication.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and its application to speech-language pathology.
  • Experience with neurodivergent children (autistic, ADHD, PDA) and willingness to learn.
  • Comfort collaborating in a multidisciplinary team and contributing to coordinated care.
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse families.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language and oral motor evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans grounded in client strengths and family priorities.
  • Provide direct speech-language services using evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming approaches (gestalt language processing).
  • Support oral motor development and feeding-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with mental health clinicians and OT for co-treatment and coordinated care.
  • Partner with families to ensure carryover of strategies at home and school.
  • Consult with schools and other providers for environmental modifications and accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation per legal, ethical, and billing standards.
  • Engage in regular interdisciplinary team consultation and contribute to a shared clinical culture.
