Kids for the Future is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat pediatric speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in a clinical setting. You will work with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to support children's development and participate in IEP meetings.

The role involves travel to Quad Cities and Burlington clinics with mileage reimbursement. The position requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, Iowa licensure or eligibility, and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Iowa SLP license issued by the Iowa Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Experience working with pediatric populations and familiarity with developmental disorders.
• Background check required by Iowa law for professionals working with children.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between sites.
• 36 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain licensure.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and swallowing in children from infancy to adolescence.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
• Provide therapy for articulation, language delays, stuttering, voice disorders, and other communication challenges.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports per state and federal guidelines.
• Educate families on strategies to enhance communication outside therapy sessions.
• Participate in IEP meetings to support student success.
• Stay current with best practices and licensure requirements.
• Travel between Quad Cities and Burlington clinics; mileage reimbursed.
