Job summary

EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team serving students in Independence, Missouri. The role is part-time with responsibilities focused on evaluating students, developing goals, and supporting mobility and independence within inclusive classrooms.

The ideal candidate holds an OT license and has experience in school-based settings, with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with teachers, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with state licensure (or eligible)
• Experience in school-based settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' physical abilities and needed therapies.
• Develop and implement individualized goals to improve mobility, strength, coordination and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers and student support teams.
• Monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of performance and IEP compliance.
• Participate in professional development and training as required.
• Promote an inclusive classroom environment
